AUAP Honors Program

AUAP Honors Program Description

WWU’s AUAP Honors Program offers participants full integration into the AUAP and observation/auditing in a regular WWU class that meets at least 3 hours per week along with a one-hour per week meeting with an AUAP faculty member to discuss their WWU class experiences.

Program Time & Duration:

Offered during AUAP 5-month cycles, when the higher English proficiency level students come to WWU, during C1 from April-June (WWU Spring Quarter), and C2 from September-December (WWU Fall Quarter)

Participants:

AUAP students who have pre-arrival TOEIC scores that are significantly higher than the majority of the AUAP students and choose to enroll in Section 7.

  • Room and meals
  • Observation in a regular WWU class
  • All classes
  • All classroom materials
  • Local Business visits
  • Local bus pass
  • WWU ID card
  • WWU Library access
  • Recreation Center access
  • Picnic
  • Certificate of Attendance
  • Welcome reception
  • WWU email address
  • Farewell reception
  • Cultural Ambassadors (assistants who live in or near the dormitories with AUAP students)
  • Airport pick up and return at Seattle Tacoma International Airport
  • Technology access on campus (computers and internet)
  • Community Engagement options (volunteering)

Program Costs:

Cost per participant (AUAP regular costs)
(Includes 20 hours of instruction weekly and all program-related costs.)

*Includes AUAP Meal Plan
