Wild Plants as Food and Medicine

Discover how to use the wild medicinal and food-based plants right where you grow. Class includes demonstrations of how to create mineral-rich vinegars, nutritious pestos, herbal infusions and decoction, tinctures, poultices, oils and cough syrups. Using simple local herbs enhances your ability to provide for you and your family. In addition, explore the process of building relationships with the plant world by expanding your senses through shamanic and guided visualizations.

Kathryn Lafond, Wise Woman Herbalist, intuitive energy/health coach, author, speaker and chef offers a window into the mysteries of plants as our neighbors. She respectively taught of wild plants as food and medicine for over 25 years. Mentored by numerous first nation people such as Cha-das-ska-dum Which tal-um and long-lived herbalists of various backgrounds, her focus is on building appreciation and love for the planet we all share.
