Payment Information

Once the enrollment has been confirmed, payment is due to the Western Student Business Office online, in-person, or by mail:

  • American Express/Discover/MasterCard/Visa credit card payments may be made with CASHNet via Web4U Portal**
    Note: CASHNet assesses a nonrefundable convenience fee for credit card payments.

**Students can access Web4U at www.wwu.edu/web4u or through MyWestern.

STUDENTS WILL NOT RECEIVE A BILL BY MAIL; notification will be sent to the student’s MyWestern mailbox and will be available via Web4U.

To view, print, or pay a bill, log on to www.wwu.edu/web4u. At the Main Menu, select Student; Student Records; WWU Student Account Online. Tuition and fees are assessed when a student is registered for classes. Tuition and fees are due when classes begin. A late payment fee is applied for charges not paid, and an interest charge will be assessed monthly on all past due accounts. Failing to pay tuition in a timely manner may result in other penalties including additional fees and a registration hold.

Financial Aid

Applies only to students admitted to Western Washington University and that have applied for Financial Aid.

WesternOnline classes are fee-based courses that are charged a different fee rate than state-supported courses, the tuition for the classes will be in addition to state-supported tuition. Students may use the credit from WesternOnline classes to fulfill satisfactory academic progress.

Students who currently receive or anticipate receiving any financial aid from Western must complete and have grades submitted by the end of the registered quarter to assure continued eligibility (SAP) for financial aid.

Self-Sustaining tuition courses do not qualify for Western Grant or Tuition Waiver funding. If a student has concerns about his/her aid eligibility or wants more information about taking WesternOnline courses and using financial aid, the student should visit Western's Financial Aid website.

 

Refunds & Withdrawals

Term-Based Online Course Refunds

Term-Based courses follow the schedule of Western’s quarter.  Check the Important Dates & Deadlines on the Registrar's Office website for more information.

Self-Paced Course Refunds

No refund will be made after 30 days from the date of registration. The $25 registration fee is nonrefundable. If assignments have been submitted, service fees will be withheld.
