Accessing Your Course
Online courses at Western are delivered via the Canvas Learning Management System. Students can access Canvas via their MyWestern Portal. To log-in to MyWestern to access your e-mail and Canvas: Go to MyWestern.wwu.edu and log-in with your universal log-in. If you have difficulty viewing WWU’s website it may be that your browser needs to be updated.
Note: Select offerings may have additional content in an outside platform, consult with your instructor or your course syllabus for additional details.

WWU's Bookstore has a price comparison website that will compare the price for your textbook against various online retailers (Amazon, Alibris, etc.). Plan on purchasing your textbooks early and always be sure you are purchasing the correct edition of the book for this course. If you have any questions related to your textbooks, be sure to ask your instructor.
If your textbook requires an access code, be sure to purchase the edition that includes the access code. If you have any questions about the textbook requirements for your course, verify details with your instructor.
For all online courses, students are responsible for reviewing the course syllabus and following all established due dates.
Information for Term-Based Offerings
Online courses follow the dates posted in ClassFinder. All course work must be completed during this time as outlined in your course syllabus. The syllabus for the class will be located on the Canvas site and should be available the first day of classes.
All online classes are subject to enrollment. Enrolled students will be notified if the minimum has not been met and if the class will be cancelled.
Information for Self-Paced Offerings
Students can start a Self-Paced course anytime and complete the course at their own pace within a six-month time frame.
