Computer Science Club: Middle School

This program is canceled. Please direct any questions to youthprograms@wwu.edu

Please refer to the university website for coronavirus updates.

Students are invited to join us to design and code their own video game in Western Youth Programs’ Computer Science Club! No previous coding experience required. All learner levels are encouraged to attend.

Students in grades 6-8 explore the world of coding with Scratch -- a programing language used to create interactive stories, games and animations. They join our excellent instructors in our campus computer lab to let their creations come to life.

Participants discover the fundamentals of technology in a creative, student-driven and social club environment. Students develop digital literacy skills and experience being on a college campus as they explore hands-on learning in specialized computer labs at Western.

Youth program participants and staff must abide by all University regulations and program rules.
