Ideas to Impact

Students will work together to magically bring ideas to life through a process called Design Thinking.  Learn how to discover ideas, rapidly prototype them using upcycled materials, and then test them to improve their design. This workshop is offered in partnership with the WWU IDEA Institute.

Robotics 101

This workshop provides an introduction to robotics for students with no programming background. This is an opportunity to gain first-hand experience with basic robotic hardware and the logic that goes into programming robots. Come learn the core elements in making and programming robots!

Digital Design for Laser Cutting

Students will experience the process of bringing a digital design to life via laser cutting and engraving to create a tangible, customized final project. This course will walk through digital basics, such as converting vector files, and then provide students with the chance to create illuminated, acrylic nametags. This course is offered in partnership with the Foundry Makerspace

Students are asked to bring:

  • A rain jacket
  • A healthy snack
  • A water bottle
  • A curious mind
