How to Apply
You must be at least 17 years old at the time of enrollment, unless formally approved by IEP Admissions.
Step 1: Prepare Your Supporting Documents
A financial guarantee, quoted in U.S. dollars
An official bank statement or sponsor letter in English
You must verify that you have the amount indicated on the IEP application for each quarter you want to attend
A copy of a passport or government issued identification card
Step 2: Complete Your Application
Optional: You may apply for conditional undergraduate admission to Western.
It will take 2-3 days to process applications. If accepted to the program, your I-20 and acceptance packet will arrive in 2-3 weeks. Students who defer enrollment more than twice, or whose application is more than 6 months old, must submit a new application, fee, and supporting documents.
If you prefer to fill out a paper application, please contact IEP at firstname.lastname@example.org. The paper application is available in several languages including English, Simplified Chinese, Arabic, Spanish, Japanese and Korean. Please tell us your language preference.
Step 3: SEVIS and F-1 Visa Interview
After receiving your acceptance packet and I-20 form, contact the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate to schedule a visa interview. Submit your SEVIS fee payment through CASHNet. You must show proof of SEVIS fee payment at your visa interview.
Step 4: Confirm Arrival and Apply for On-Campus Housing
To secure a place in IEP, students must confirm their arrival by completing the Attendance Form. This form will be included in your acceptance packet. The Attendance Form includes:
